What Happens During a Comprehensive Eye Exam?
To gain a clear understanding of your main concerns, the optometrist will take a case history that includes:
- A detailed history of your previous glasses and contact lens use
- A discussion of any ocular discomfort you may be experiencing, previous eye diagnoses, injuries, surgeries, etc.
- A review of your general health and family history
The optometrist will then start collecting data for your exam record. Depending on your situation, this may include measurements of your:
