Dr. Lisa Tay was born and raised in Toronto where she completed her Honours Bachelor of Science with High Distinction from the University of Toronto. She then pursued her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Waterloo School of Optometry and Vision Science and graduated on the Dean’s Honours List. She is currently a registered member with the College of Optometrists of Ontario and with the Ontario Association of Optometrists.
During her studies, Dr. Tay had the opportunity to participate in a VOSH mission trip to Manitoulin Island, Ontario where she provided eye care services to children living in the Wiikwemkoong reserves. She also volunteered for the Special Olympics Opening Eyes program and is looking forward to more opportunities to serve the community and educate people about the importance of vision and ocular health.
As a glasses and contact lens wearer with high myopia, Dr. Tay has a special interest in myopia control, contact lens fittings and dry eye disease. She is also able to diagnose and manage other ocular conditions through comprehensive eye examinations. Dr. Tay is able to provide services in English, Cantonese and Mandarin and is currently accepting new patients of all ages.
